Flat Screen Night Sky Tours:

John will lead your group through a 50 minute Night Sky Tour of the stars, constellations, and planets visible that night on your screen or white wall in a darkened room at your location. This type of presentation was first done at the Maine International Film Festival at Railroad Square Cinema in Waterville, Maine in July 2022 and was very well received. Since that time John has presented it at numerous other venues such as the AMC Gorman-Chairback Lodge, a nursing home, and other locations.

$165 for the first session, $120 for each subsequent session on the same day plus mileage.

Presentation offerings:

• The Sky Tonight: the constellations, stars, and planets that are visible on the night of the presentation with Q&A. (Adaptable for all Grades K-adult)

• A Tour of the Solar System with Q&A. (Adaptable for all Grades K-adult)

• Super Moon: a presentation about the Moon, its features and phases with Q&A. (Grades 3-6)

• Earth, Our Home in the Cosmos: a presentation about Earth’s motions, the Moon, and a brief tour of the planets with a Q&A. (Grades 3-6)

• Dark Sky Preservation in Maine: a presentation on why dark skies are important and what you can do to preserve Maine’s dark sky heritage and fight light pollution. (Grades 6-Adult)
